Obviously, more research in this field needs to be conducted. A person's ability to visualize internally greatly enhances the creative processes. I am a writer and cartoonist, and I rely upon my eidetic imagery for everything I produce. I was artistically creative at an early age, and later in life, underwent hypnotherapy for almost six years. The result was an increase in enhanced creativity and an increase in productivity, along with a profound understanding of the human mind's mental processes. Having an eidetic mind adds to the creative process, even without hypnosis. Personally, I believe the hypnotic process/trance enables a person to gain access to the many different creative processes within the mind. But introducing one to this state of mind needs to be done gradually and at a safe pace.

Thank you for the review of the literature. I agree that hypnosis can make a great contribution to the positive psychology movement.
