Another way of quitting alcohol is to isolate your self from people who are also alcohol dependent. Find friends that may support you on your goal. These friends should get you away from incidents that may lead you to drink. There are also support groups out in the public that help alcohol dependent people. One of the popular support groups is Alcoholic Anonymous or AA. They provide a program that has already been proven to be effective by other members over time.
